MARC SWANSON
Marc Swanson/Neil Gust
Marc Swanson and long time friend Neil Gust have collaborated on several video art projects over the years. Swanson and Gust first met in 1987 at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. Their first collaboration wasn't until 1993 when Marc was featured dancing in the video "Why Did I Decide to Stay" for the band Heatmiser of which Neil was a founding member. In 2006 Swanson and Gust made their second collaborative video "Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere", a short film which defined much of their imagery and became a launching point for their 2008 video "Love Is All Around". "Love Is All Around" was featured in a solo show at Bellwether Gallery and in the group show "to: Night: at The Hunter College Art Galleries. In 2009 Marc Swanson and Neil Gust made their most recent video "Darkroom" which will be featured in a solo show running from February 5 through April 4 at the Saint Louis Art Museum.
